For 2008, Damascus will be the cultural capital of the Arab world. To make this public, Syrian officials have organised a performance and presentation in the form of a concert in the 'Parlour of the Embassadors' in the Alhambra, Granada, Southern Spain. For this extra special occasion, they wanted to have the Pinana brothers whose work is very linked to the art in the Arab world, especially the flamenco music they recorded which was adaptations of the poems of the mystical Sufi Ibn Arabi.
